UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who came to the village hall on 5th/6th September to give their views in the first stage of our Community Led Plan. It was a great turn out and it seems everyone has a very positive view about our lovely village. Watch this space for the news about the next stage in the process.
If you live on The Narth, Pen y Fan or Maryland, your views are needed to help shape the future of the village. Drop in at the Hall any time between
3 pm – 7 pm Friday 5th September
10 am – 2 pm Saturday 6th September
to find out more. Your thoughts are welcome on our facilities, traffic issues, the environment, crime, public transport, broadband speeds, house building – anything you feel affects life on The Narth. (There will be refreshments too.)
This is the start of a process which will eventually produce a document known as a Community Led Plan, which describes how residents want the village to develop in the coming years. The aim is to come to some conclusions which can be fed back to government to influence and inform their planning for the area. It can also lead to opportunities for funding towards facilities and projects identified in the plan.
This is part of Monmouthshire County Council’s Rural Development Programme and is being promoted by Trellech Community Council. Other villages have already produced their plans (eg Llandogo – link below). The council is working with Adventa who are providing the support to communities to develop their plans. You can get further details from Shirley Hughes, Adventa’s Social Enterprise Development Officer, email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Shirely on 07793 259016.
So don’t miss out – find out more at these drop in sessions and join in when you get your questionnaires and requests for feedback. Your voice WILL be taken into account!
