This year’s fete will take place as usual on August Bank Holiday Monday, and we’re holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in the Hall with activities and events in The Glade. Wear an appropriate hat to join in the fun, and if you’re feeling creative, or just have some good home grown vegetables, enter the Competitions.
We are encouraging residents of the village to display white rabbits, or rabbit ears, in hedges or gardens, and to put up bunting and colours to build a great atmosphere for Fete Day.
The evening before the fete there will be Songs of Praise in the The Glade at 6 pm with refreshments beforehand in the hall from 5 pm.
The day starts with the Companion Dog Show at 12.30pm (registrations at 12 noon) – full details about the show here. It’s open to everyone on the day.
There will be plenty of games and activities for all ages, including a Tug of War, children’s clothes race, building mini-beast hotels and lots more.
