Sorry – Calan is now Sold Out. With apologies to people who have missed out.
Popular and talented, the young Welsh folk group Calan are to play at the hall on Thursday 17 November, and this is going to be something special.
Calan’s first album Bling, released in 2008, attracted four star responses from the critics and since then they have been playing to ever larger audiences at concerts and festivals around Britain and Europe, including the Cambridge Festival, Celtic Connections, and tours of Italy, Austria and Belgium. They have won awards and received plaudits wherever they have appeared.
They play traditional music with a contemporary and lively twist, guaranteed to get you clapping (and possibly jigging) along, together with beautiful haunting songs expertly delivered.
This concert is subsidised by The Arts Council of Wales’ Night Out scheme (Noson Allan). The Arts Council works in partnership with local authorities to help voluntary group bring top quality artists to the heart of their communities.
