Take the Bus
Our village no 65 bus service is under threat and needs more passengers so why not make use of it to go for a walk on our wonderful footpath network? Just a short ride to Maryland, Trellech, Whitebrook Crossroads or Penallt gives great opportunities for linear walks back to The Narth. Don’t hesitate – the bus is there for us all to use, and if you have a bus pass it’s free!
The timetable is available on this website
Progress in Manor Wood
Many of you will have seen the new green posts with grey tops in Manor Wood and on Beacon Hill. These are for the four waymarked walks that Natural Resources Wales are reinstating for us. There are still some posts to install, along with arrows to point the way. We hope that the work will be completed soon and these walks will be available for all to enjoy.
Work by our Volunteers
Two footpath working days are being arranged with Monmouthshire County Council for later in August when we hope to complete some more waymarking and replace some worn out fingerposts.
Enjoy your summer walking and don’t forget to take the bus!”
