Village Walk, spring 2018 – remember the sunshine?
CANCELLED: With apologies for any disappointment but the walk has been cancelled due to the bad weather and dangerous conditions.
The Footpath Project is organising the next Village Walk on Sunday 14th October. The arrangements follow the successful format of previous village walks, but with new routes that will be revealed on the day.
This will be the fourth of these social walks, which have proved to be a great way to get to know your neighbours while appreciating the beautiful countryside around our village. Newcomers will be made very welcome by the regular walkers.
There will be the usual choice of a longer walk (about 5 miles or so) and an easier short walk (around 2 miles on flatter ground).
The walks start at 1.45pm (for the longer walk) and 3pm (shorter walk) and will end between 4.30pm and 5pm (approximately) with Afternoon Tea at the Village Hall. The hall committee would appreciate small donations to cover this cost.
Please wear appropriate walking shoes and clothing, particularly for the long walk which has steeper sections and can be slippery when wet. You may wish to bring a walking stick.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. These must be kept on a lead when walking through fields with animals, as well as near roads.
Booking is appreciated (although not absolutely essential) as it helps us to plan the refreshments: please call Marilyn on 01600 860031, email Brian on brian_mahony@outlook.com or complete the form below.
I/we hope to be joining you on the village walk:
