April’s Walk and Talk with the Wye Valley Women will take place on Tuesday 2nd April. For regulars, please note there is a change from the usual time.
The plan is to catch the 9.15 bus from The Narth to Penallt and walk back. You are advised to be outside the Village Hall NO LATER THAN 9:10 am, as the bus sometimes runs a little early.
There is an option for people from Trellech to catch the same bus leaving Court Farm at 9.10. Again be at the bus stop a bit earlier.
The cost of a single to Penallt should only be a couple of pounds for those who haven’t got a bus pass (see the Friends of the 65 Bus web site for information on fares and bus passes).
Everyone will alight at Penallt and start by walking through the the grounds of The Argoed, then walk down a quiet country road to Tregagle, enter into Pwllplythin woods to go to New Mills. From here it’s a gradual climb through the woods back to The Narth.
The distance should be about 3.8 miles and there are a couple of stiles on route. Some people will be walking back to Trellech.
Please wear sensible footwear and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
There is no charge. All are welcome – you do not need to be a WVW member. Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome and travel free on the bus.
