The Footpath Project’s Spring Village Walk on Sunday 2nd June will follow the successful format of previous village walks, but with new routes that will be revealed on the day.
These social walks are a great way to get to know your neighbours while appreciating the beautiful countryside around our village. Newcomers will be made very welcome by the regular walkers.
There will be the usual choice of a longer walk (about 5 miles or so) and an easier short walk (around 2 miles on flatter ground). Highlights of the short walk will include some spring wildflowers in local meadows, while the longer walk will be through woodland.
The walks start at 1.45pm (for the longer walk) and 3pm (shorter walk) and will end between 4.30pm and 5pm (approximately) with Afternoon Tea at the Village Hall. The hall committee would appreciate small donations to cover this cost.
Please wear appropriate walking shoes and clothing, particularly for the long walk which has steeper sections and can be slippery when wet. You may wish to bring a walking stick.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. These must be kept on a lead when walking through fields with animals, as well as near roads.
Booking is appreciated (although not absolutely essential) as it helps us to plan the refreshments: please call Marilyn on 01600 860031, email Brian on brian_mahony@outlook.com or complete the form below.
I/we hope to be joining you on the village walk:
