The Narth Bus Service

From Friends of the 65 Bus

UPDATE 8th April – Easter Weekend Service:  The W, 65 and 75 Services will not be running on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Sunday, Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday 14th. Services will recommence on Wednesday 15th of April.

UPDATE 2nd April: Saturday service withdrawn
Latest post from MCC Passenger Transport Unit.

After careful consideration the decision has been made to withdraw ALL Monmouthshire Saturday bus services until further notice.  This is not a decision taken lightly and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

The Monday – Friday 65 service is continuing as normal for the present except for last bus from Chepstow to Monmouth which has been suspended. We understand that last Saturday, on the three bus routes that MCC run directly they only carried one passenger between them.

We have heard how much Rob, the driver, appreciates all the waves he is getting from people as he drives along the route. They really are helping him to keep going, so please encourage as many waves to him as possible.

UPDATE: 26th March – the last bus to Monmouth at 17.45 has been withdrawn for the present.  All other services will continue, but subject to review at the end of the week.

Car Park and Playground Closures

UPDATE 8th April: The Glade play equipment and picnic tables have been cordoned off as groups have been congregating there – we assume from outside the village as they came by car. Please keep away from benches, play equipment and other furniture as it can be a source of contamination.

Natural Resources Wales closed all of its visitor centres, car parks, play areas and toilets on reserves, woods and forests they manage . This includes those in and around Trellech. NRW advises: “We need to avoid unnecessary travel, so make your walk a local one; do not get into your car to travel to one of the woods we manage. The walking trails in the woodlands remain open but you must exercise alone or with your own household and, if encountering other people, maintain the social distancing rule”
