Follow the Scarecrow Trail!

This Bank Holiday Weekend, take a walk around our villages and see the wonderful creations on the Heroes and Villains Scarecrow Trail.

Paper versions of the map are available in The Narth phone box at the end of School Lane.

Remember to vote for your favourites! There is a slip attached to the map, and you can leave your votes in the phone box.

If you are too late for the map, but still want to take part in the fun, just display your scarecrow in your garden over next weekend, from Saturday 28th to Monday 30th August.

Scarecrows Return to The Narth! Join the Trail on Bank Holiday Weekend

On the usual Village Fete weekend, at the end of August, residents are invited to exhibit their own scarecrows with the theme Heroes and Villains. There will be a trail map produced for people to follow – if you want to add your scarecrow to the map please let the Anna Brown know by Monday 9th August. That’s or WhatsApp 07963 954330.

Get creative – there will be voting for the favourites!

The Glade Tavern: Booking for 3 July

UPDATE: I’m afraid the Tavern team have decided to cancel this event.

The Tavern is Back!! Unfortunately under Welsh rules we have to restrict this to table service, so we are asking people to book a table for your group (up to 6 people). There will be Fish and Chips available too.

Nikki Godfrey is managing bookings – details of how to contact her are below.

There will be two sittings: at 4pm and at 7.30pm.

To book please give:

  • The name of the ‘lead’ member of your group
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Address
  • The full names and contact details of all the others in your party (this is a legal requirement for Track and Trace purposes)
  • Which sitting you prefer, and whether you are able to come to the alternative sitting if your first choice is full

Please bring a mask for going through the hall.

If you are able to book a place then find you, or someone in your party, cannot come, please let Nikki know so we can release the place for someone else.

If you or any of your party feel ill, or test positive for Covid, please do not come!  

Most of the tables will be outside, but there will be open-sided marquee cover in case of rain.  Some tables will be inside.  

The Fish and Chip van will be in place from 6pm on the day, opposite the Village Hall, and this does not require booking so you can get your supper and take it home if you don’t have a place at the Tavern.  There will be socially distanced queuing of course, but you can just turn up.

Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis until all tables are full.  There is a maximum of 50 people per sitting, so don’t delay sending in your booking.
