The Village Hall Committee meets monthly, normally on a Tuesday evening. The Annual General Meeting, an open meeting which residents of The Narth are invited to attend and vote for who joins the committee, takes place in October.

The Committee’s Role
The committee are trustees of the charity The Narth & District Village Hall (registered charity number 524389). The object of the charity is “the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for: (a) meetings, lectures and classes, and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation; with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.”
As well as maintaining the hall and making it available to other groups and individuals, the committee organise events and activities to raise funds for the upkeep of the hall.

The Committee also aims to adhere to a set of policies, which are reviewed on a regular basis. Most of our policies, including Complaints and Data Protection, can be viewed here.
The hall financial year runs from 1st October to 30th September. Annual accounts are produced and independently examined. The approved accounts are made available on this web site and on the village hall notice board.

If you would like to help with our work or events, please get in touch with any committee member. You don’t have to be a committee member to organise or support our work and all volunteers are very welcome. If you are interested in joining the committee please contact one of the officers.
The Committee is registered to receive Gift Aid on donations made by eligible people. If you make a donation to the hall and are eligible for Gift Aid, we will ask you to complete a form. This can be done offline or you can complete this online form:
