The Village Hall Committee meets monthly, normally on Thursday evening. The Annual General Meeting, an open meeting which residents of The Narth are invited to attend, takes place immediately before the October Committee meeting.

The Committee’s Role
The committee are trustees of the charity The Narth & District Village Hall (registered number 524389). The object of the charity is “the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for: (a) meetings, lectures and classes, and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation; with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.”
As well as maintaining the hall, the committee organise events for the benefit of the community and activities to raise funds for the upkeep of the hall.

The Committee also aims to adhere to a set of policies, which are reviewed on a regular basis. Some of the relevant policies, including Complaints and Data Protection, can be viewed here.
The hall financial year runs from 1st October to 30th September. Annual accounts are produced and independently examined. The approved accounts are made available on this web site and on the village hall notice board.
