Our most successful run yet with 88 runners on the day, and a flurry of media attention. We didn’t expect to have TV camera crews covering out little event, but then The Narth is a great little place, whatever we’re allowed to call our run! If you haven’t seen the news coverage there are clips on both ITV news and BBC News news sites. (These links will disappear eventually.) Continue reading

The Narth Run is filling up fast – Advance bookings deadline extended
Entries for The Narth Run on Sunday are now coming in fast. We have a capacity on the day of 120 runners so although there will be places for people registering on the day, we cannot guarantee everyone will be able to run if too many people leave it to the last minute. We advise you to book in advance to ensure you have a place. To encourage this we have extended the bookings deadline to Friday 19 June at 5pm.

The Narth Run: Update on Arrangements for the Day
Registration: Pre-Booked – registration arrangements for those entering in advance
Last year we received some really useful feedback on how to improve the experience for those runners who entered in advance and just needed to sign in on the day and collect their running numbers. This year there will be a separate desk for you, and hopefully that will make things easier. But do please still allow plenty of time to park, get to the Village Hall to collect your numbers, and then make your way to the start. It’s probably best to allow 20 minutes from the Village hall to the start.
Registration Not Pre-booked – information for those planning to enter on the day
Registration opens at 0900. For the Fun Run (which starts at 1015) registration closes at 0955. For the 5K and 10k, both of which start together at 1100, registration closes at 1040. Please allow plenty of time to park, register, and then make your way to the start. Please note that we have only limited toilet and changing facilities available, and also that it’s probably best to allow 20 minutes from the Village hall to the start.
Runners driving into The Narth from Trellech should follow the road into the village, where you will be directed into The Glade car park. opposite the Village Hall, When that car park is full you’ll be directed instead to one of two car parks on Greenway Lane, before you get into the village itself. These car parks are a five minute walk from the Village Hall, so there are real advantages in arriving early. Runners coming from Monmouth should follow the road into the village, where they will be directed into a car park just past the phone box.
The Narth Run: Course Update – Important Changes
Update on The Narth Run, which takes place on 21st June
An inspection has found that part of the course we used in previous years has been left badly rutted by recent forestry operations. The course has always been uneven in places, but this particular section is simply not safe to race on, and we have therefore had to make some changes to the courses for all three races.
